The Energy Transition Community: 42 students start their semester at EnTranCe

Last Wednesday the Energy Transition Community at EnTranCe welcomed a total of 42 new students for the second semester 2015/2016

The day started off with an introduction of the Energy Transition Community, EnTranCe as well as the presentation ‘Energy Transition for Dummies’, followed by the screening of the movie ‘EnTranCe – the Movie’ (if you wish to see the movie, please click here). The morning program was designed to provide the students with a good impression of EnTranCe and what they can expect during the following step in their career. In  addition, Patrick van der Meulen, founder of, gave an inspiring presentation about his exceptional career and his view on entrepreneurship in the field of energy as well as on energy transition and the climate crisis.

The afternoon of this one-day kick-off was marked by presentation of the partners located at EnTranCe. Each partner – namely Energy Expo, Innovatie Link, iNRG, Noordelijk Lokaal Duurzaam, Sameen en Startup Fast Track – presented themselves and offered the students a good insight on what they are currently working on and what the hot topics in energy transition are.

The kick-off was a great success with many new insights, ideas and connections. In the following weeks the group of students, which consists of six different nationalities and 18 different study backgrounds, will participate in the weekly meet-up program organized by the Energy Transition Community. The meet-ups offer lectures on energy topics, skills workshops, and knowledge sharing events. For more information about the Energy Transition Community click here.
