Teachers Hanze University of Applied Sciences collaborate on the connection between energy research and education

Teachers of the Hanze University of Applied Sciences Groningen were invited to think about the manner in which the connection between energy, education and research can be strengthened.

In total eight entries submitted, derived from different schools. The ideas were assessed on:

– connection between Energy, Education and Research
– renovation
– students reach
– connection research portfolio.

The evaluation committee has selected seven entries, these entries will elaborate their idea further. The Centre of Expertise Energy made 40 hours available. After the ideas will be more elaborated, the steering Committee Energy will assess the ideas again based on feasibility and on criteria listed above. The three best proposals will be awarded with 350 hours in which implementation of the idea can be used in 2014-2015

(Update) 
On April the 2nd six teachers pitched their idea in two minutes. All attendees voted for the idea that appealed the most to hem. Wim Timmerman, teacher Human Technology and Researcher from Hanze Research Energy, got the most votes and won the audience award. He received 350 hours to implement his plan in 2014-2015.
