The new European Master in Sustainable Energy System Management (SESyM) starts this September, in cooperation with Hanze UAS and EUREC (the Association of Renewable Energy Research Centres). This unique master programme focuses on the economic and business aspects of the energy transition. The programme is accessible for Bachelor graduates with a background in economics, business, engineering or management. One of Europe’s biggest challenges is managing the transition towards a sustainable energy system based on renewable energy. There is a need for a new generation of professionals with interdisciplinary knowledge, skills and tools to make the energy transition happen.
This Master focuses on the multidisciplinary aspects of energy systems from a business point of view. It tackles the challenges of the energy transition by providing management and communication skills, as well as the necessary technical, economic and ICT knowledge. After completing this master you will be able to design, analyze and implement business cases, models and sustainable concepts with a systemic and interdisciplinary approach.
During the programme you will conduct a research project at a company or EnTranCe, the Energy Transition Centre at the Hanze UAS.
SESyM is an English-taught, one and a half year programme, and you’ll spend at least one semester abroad. Graduates obtain a Master of Science degree.
