This week, the first solar panels were placed on the Energy Barn at EnTranCe.
The placement of these panels is the first step in the installation of one thousand solar panels around the terrain of EnTranCe. This adjustment will make EnTranCe self-sufficient. The placement of the panels has been contracted to Enie.nl, the company of Patrick van der Meulen, alumnus in Commerciële Economie from the Hanze University of Applied Sciences.
Both Entrepreneurship and Energy are major priorities of the Hanze University Groningen. With the agreement to be fully energy neutral by 2035, the construction of a thousand solar panels is an important step in the right direction.
